Mission:
Immaculate Conception School offers an education based on the
Gospel message of Jesus Christ by providing a Christian environment
in which students of all abilities can learn.
Philosophy:
In response to this mission, the school strives to integrate the
ministries of spreading the message and service to others with
academics. Immaculate Conception stresses parental involvement in
the education of their children and employs a teaching staff of
professionals committed to sharing their Christian faith.
Facility:
Immaculate Conception School is an air-conditioned facility with
spacious classrooms, central library, lunchroom, day care room,
preschool room and large outdoor play areas.
With the new addition built in 1996, the school became handicapped
accessible.
Special Services:
Immaculate Conception School provides staff and programs designed to
meet special needs:
- A year-round Daycare Center for ages 2-5, hours 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Before school care is availabe from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m.
- After school care from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
- Breakfast served 7:30 to 8:00 a.m.
Curriculum:
The Immaculate Conception School curriculum includes a comprehensive
program for religious, academic, physical, and social development.
Music, art, P.E., computer skills and library are part of the
curriculum
Certified teachers and qualified support personnel provide instruction
for students through the eighth grade.
Moral and spiritual values are integrated into the curriculum through
daily religion classes, frequent opportunities to attend liturgies, and
a code of conduct that emphasizes respect for self and others.
Standardized achievement tests are used to help monitor pupil progress.
Extracurricular:
Extracurricular activities are available through the school or church
to help foster the growth of each child and help develop a sense of community.
